As a result of the actions carried out by the Astara Customs Department employees, a particularly large amount of narcotics was discovered and removed from illegal circulation.
The narcotic drug was detected in a vehicle transporting "greens" from Iran to Russia by transiting through the country at the "South-Astara" customs post. Due to the fact that suspicious lines were observed during the examination conducted at the stationary X-ray device, a thorough customs inspection was carried out with the application of a canine service dog to the truck. During the inspection, a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs - marijuana, with a total weight of 51 kilograms and 941 grams, together with their packaging, which was hidden from customs control and placed in the trailer of the vehicle, was discovered.
