The teacher who was shot by a student in the high school underwent surgery

The teacher who was shot by a student at Idrak High School in Binagadi district of Baku underwent a successful operation.

According to the information provided by the Clinical Medical Center (KTM), a 29-year-old woman was operated on to remove a foreign body from her neck. The operation was performed without any complications.

Treatment is currently ongoing in the intensive care unit of the medical institution. The patient's condition is assessed as moderate and life-threatening, the statement said.

The incident happened this morning at Idrak High School. A 10th grade student brought a shotgun to school and shot his math teacher for reasons that are still unknown. The teenager was detained and a criminal case was opened.
