Baku high school shooting: student shoots teacher

A criminal case has been opened in connection with the shooting that resulted in a student injuring a teacher at the Baku high school.

This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the Binagadi District Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case under the relevant article of the Criminal Code regarding the injury of a teacher as a result of a student's shooting, and a preliminary investigation is underway.

The student suspected of causing the incident was detained. Prosecutor's office officers are currently inspecting the scene and taking necessary procedural measures to determine the circumstances and causes of the incident.

The victim received emergency medical care. He was admitted to the hospital and is being treated at the appropriate medical institution.
