Ilham Aliyev received the commissioner for energy and housing policy of the European Commission

On March 3, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation headed by Dan Jorgensen, Commissioner for Energy and Housing Policy of the European Commission, who participated in the 12th meeting of ministers within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 4th meeting of the ministers within the framework of the Green Energy Advisory Council.

Dan Jorgensen said that the speech of our head of state at the opening of the 12th meeting of ministers within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Consultative Council and the 4th meeting of the ministers within the framework of the Green Energy Consultative Council made a deep impression on them.

Dan Jorgensen noted that today's event is very important, stated that the partnership with our country is important for them and emphasized that they are interested in expanding it. He expressed his gratitude for the cooperation.

Our head of state touched upon the visits of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the Vice President of the European Commission Kaya Callas and the Commissioner for Enlargement of the European Union Marta Kos to our country last year, and evaluated the active work of our delegations as an indicator of the will on both sides to deepen cooperation in energy and connectivity issues.

During the conversation, Azerbaijan's contribution to the energy security of Europe, especially in the current period, was touched upon, issues related to the expansion of the export geography of our country in the European market in the field of energy and the prospects of cooperation regarding natural gas and green energy were discussed.
