Ilham Aliyev had a private meeting with the President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili
On April 6, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a one-on-one meeting with the President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili in Tbilisi.
During the conversation, it was noted that Azerbaijan-Georgia bilateral relations are based on the principles of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership, and it was reported that cooperation is successfully developing in various directions, including political, economic, energy, green energy, transport, investments and other fields. The role of mutual visits at various levels in the expansion of our relations was touched upon.
The importance of the transport and energy projects implemented jointly by Azerbaijan and Georgia was emphasized, and their strategic and economic importance was noted.
At the meeting, the role of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia was emphasized in terms of ensuring stability and security in the South Caucasus.
The presidents of Azerbaijan and Georgia expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation of our countries within the framework of international organizations, exchanged views on the prospects of our relations and other issues of mutual interest.
After the meeting, our head of state wrote his heartfelt words in the memorial book.
