Tension in Iranian skies: 3 US warplanes shot down
Iran's new air defense system neutralized three planes and two helicopters belonging to the United States and Israel on April 3.
According to the information published by AZpress.AZ, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) made an official statement about this today.
It was reported that one F-35 fighter, two A-10 attack aircraft and two Black Hawk helicopters were among the hit equipment. SEPAH also noted that a single and integrated air defense system was implemented.
Before that, the Iranian side announced that the F-35 was destroyed and its pilot was detained. The US publication "Axios" wrote, citing a source close to the incident, that it could actually be a two-seater F-15E Strike Eagle type aircraft.
