Iran NPP crisis: Russia rapidly evacuates staff

It was reported that the evacuation of the station employees has started after the attacks on the territory of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Station this morning.

AZpress.AZ reports that Aleksey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom, made a statement about this.

According to his words, a total of 198 people were evacuated from the area:

"According to the plan, we started the main evacuation phase about 20 minutes after the failed attack. Buses started moving from Bushehr station in the direction of Iran-Armenia border".

Before that, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran released information and stated that Bushehr NPP has been fired upon for the fourth time since the start of hostilities. According to the statement of the agency, on the morning of April 4, one of the shells hit the fence near the station, as a result of which a guard lost his life. Although the explosion damaged one of the auxiliary buildings, the main objects were not seriously damaged.
