On August 9, 2018 the KOICA Azerbaijan Office held Orientation for ten Azerbaijani governmental officials of the Food Safety Institute under the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan who were selected to represent Azerbaijan at the Country Specific KOICA CIAT Program (Training) titled “Application Modern Methods of Chromatography in Strengthening the Quality Control of Veterinary Preparations and Food Products” to be held in Korea during August 19 - September 1, 2018. The Country-Specific KOICA CIAT Programs are customized for each recipient country reflecting its reality and demands.
The main purpose of the above-mentioned program is to identify quality control policies, techniques and field application methods for livestock products and general foods in Korea, improve analytical skills for quality control of agricultural and livestock products, strengthen competitiveness in quality control of livestock foods and general foods in Azerbaijan, strengthen future cooperation in food quality control area between Korea and Azerbaijan.
During the training for 14 days in Korea, the participants will have opportunity to learn and understand the agricultural food and livestock products quality management, theory and labbased practice on agricultural and livestock products analysis quality management in Korea through lectures and visits to concerned organizations, such as Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Service, Local Agri-food Processing Center, Milk Analysis Center (HKNU), Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, HKNU Analysis Center etc.
The Country Director of the KOICA Azerbaijan, Ms. Park Kumok welcomed and congratulated the participants and requested them to avail this excellent opportunity to learn from Korea’s development during their stay and to share their experience in Azerbaijan for sustainable development. She added that they can get a chance to learn about the culture, economy, politics and history of Korea as well. The Training Program Coordinator of the KOICA Office, Ms. Parvin Garazade provided a briefing pack of important information on health and travel insurance, accommodation, daily allowances, KOICA’s regulation and restrictions etc.
In their turn, the participants paid their gratitude to the Korean government for offering such Program for them and pledged to strengthen existing friendship and cooperation ties between two Governments.
