Rector of The University of Caucasus, Professor Ahmet Sanich, the founder of the Khazar University, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli and the Rector, Professor Hasan Niknafs visited Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on October 3. A memorandum about the scientific and technical cooperation with both universities was signed. The provision of the scientific-pedagogical and scientific research works between the Universities of Caucasus and Khazar with UNEC is expected by the document. According to the Memorandum the development courses for the teaching staff members and the doctoral students will be organized in both education institutions. Furthermore, the universities’ academic staff members will lead the doctoral candidates. In addition, the organization of joint exhibitions and scientific conferences and the exchange of teaching and students staffs’ members will also be realized.
UNEC’s Rector, Professor AdalatMuradov spoke about the innovations implemented at the University and announced targets. Talking about the international relations of the higher education institution, Rector said that UNEC has so far been collaborating with mainly overseas universities. Stressing the benefits of cooperating with the higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, Rector especially highlighted the significance of the Caucasian and Khazar Universities’ experience.
Expressing readiness to share their experiences with UNEC, at the same time A. Sanich noted that it the innovations applied at the biggest economic- oriented university of the Caucasus- UNEC will be helpful for the University of Caucasus.
H. Niknafs expressed satisfaction of getting familiar with UNEC. He expressed confidence that the cooperation will be fruitful for both universities.
A. Muradov offered to organize the informal meeting of the rectors of the country’s universities. It was also brought to the attention that the problems of Azerbaijan higher education will be discussed during the regular meeting.
In the end of the meeting guests became familiar with the Financial laboratory established with support of the State Committee on Securities under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Undergraduate Program of London School of Economics of the University of London. They became the guests of “Radio UNEC” and responded students’ questions.
