“Ganja 2016-European Youth Capital: The Vision of The Future” will be held in Baku and Ganja at 1-5 March 2015 with the participation of National Councils of Youth Organizations of past European Youth Capital countries by National Assembly of Youth Organizations of Republic Azerbaijan (NAYORA), Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Youth and Sport of The Republic of Azerbaijan.
Goal of the forum is learning foreign experiences in the field of European Youth Capital, presentation of carried out and planning works, supporting of creating and enhancing the cooperation of local youth organizations with foreign and international youth platforms.
During the forum exchange of experience will be realized by the participants, a meeting with Executive Power of Ganja, Organizing Committee of Youth Capital and local member Youth Organizations of NAYORA will be set regarding, “Ganja 2016-European Youth Capital: The Vision of The Future” in Ganja. Within the scope of project, sessions will be held on various topics, done and to be done work will be widely discussed.
Seymur Huseynov, Secretary General of NAYORA, has emphasized that it’s directly one of the successes of Azerbaijan Youth Policy. NAYORA has participated closely at the work of organizing committee, created with respect to election of Ganja as European Youth Capital 2016. In order to continue our activities in this direction, over this year, we are planning to realize a number of events and projects with respect to “Ganja 2016: European Youth Capital”. The visit of members of National Councils of Youth Organizations of past European Youth Capital countries will be the first of these events and the general meeting of the members of the European Youth Forum to be held in Ganja with the participation of 300 persons will be the greatest of these events.”
Recall that, European Youth Capitals are elected since 2009. Hitherto, Rotterdam, Turin, Antwerp, Braga, Maribor, Thessaloniki, Cluj-Napoca cities have gained European Youth Capital status. In 2014, Ganja city has been elected European Youth Capital in the solemn event held at Thessaloniki.
