“The Trilogy” of AES + F finally in Baku! AES + F is a group of four artist that are always on the crest of the wave of contemporary art. There are four of them - Tatiana Arzamasova, Lev Evzovich, Evgeny Svyatsk and Vladimir Fridkes. They come to Baku with their magnificent “Trilogy” which is a video series intended as a story of a modern world consecutively representing: Last Riot (originally shown in the Russian pavilion at the Venice Biennale, 2007), Trimalchio’s Feast (first shown in Venice in 2009), and Allegoria Sacra (premiered in 2011 at the Multimedia Art Museum as part of the parallel program of the Moscow Biennale of Modern Art). The Trilogy is an attempt to analyze the globalization of reality in the 21st century from the point of view of traditional reference points that for many centuries define the structure of the universe: Heaven, Hell, Purgatory. This is also such a symbolic coincidence that the presentation of “Trilogy” concur with the much-talked-of Maya’s Apocalypse day – 21th of December.
The “Trilogy” appeals to sacred, mystical yet very contemporary and topical themes and matters represented in such mind blowing angles that there is no way you can miss it!
