A commemorative ceremony and a meeting with veterans were held in the Special Forces on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Patriotic War, which ended with the glorious victory of the Azerbaijan Army.
The memory of Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the Azerbaijani territories was honored, prayers were made, the commemorative feast was given during the ceremony. Commander of the Special Forces Lieutenant General Hikmat Mirzayev, veterans, and ghazis attended the commemorative ceremony.
First, the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids fallen for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan was honored with a minute of silence. The national anthem was performed. The ceremony participants laid flowers at the bust of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and the monument erected to the memory of the Special Forces.
Along with today's commemorative events, Special Forces continue to improve combat readiness.
