ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival proudly declares that III ANIMAFILM Festival will be dedicated to the children and youth of Azerbaijan. The festival willbe held in Baku and broadcast online from 14th to 18th of October 2020.
The aim of the 3rd edition of ANIMAFILM festival is to support and educate children and youthof Azerbaijan during difficult times of escalating Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, where Azerbaijan fights for its internationally recognized and historical territories currently occupied by Armenia.
Due to the current escalating Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the festival’s organisers have made the decision to remove all public screenings of the program. However, some of the events, such as stop-motion workshops, a meeting with the International Jury, opening and closing ceremonies and announcement of the festival’s winners will be broadcast online andavailable to view worldwide.
The festival’s organisers believe that the children of Azerbaijan and Karabakh need love and support now more than ever, so for this reason, an enriching educational animation program will be held for 31 members of the Childrens’ Jury for III ANIMAFILM. A two-day intensive stop-motion workshop will also be offered to young Azerbaijani animation enthusiasts.
The program for III ANIMAFILM Festival will shortly be available to view on the official website www.animafilm.az.
