Pedophiles could face life imprisonment

Life imprisonment has been proposed in the State Duma for pedophiles and child murderers.

Leader of the LDPR (Liberal Democratic Party of Russia) Leonid Slutsky stated this.

According to him, repeat offenders who commit serious crimes against minors should not be granted parole.

“We have no right to risk children's lives in the hope that an offender will be rehabilitated,” Slutsky said.
