months, for selected 30 participants among young Pakistani researchers. The online
internship program, which will run during August and September, will include lectures by
Azerbaijani and Pakistani scholars, diplomats, military and civil experts, as well as
presentations about Azerbaijan on the topics of interest for the participants, answers to
their questions and the publication of various articles about Azerbaijan in the local
press. The internship program will allow the participants to get a broad idea about
Azerbaijan and receive information about the realities of Azerbaijan directly from the
experts.
On the first day of the internship program, which started on the 4th of August, a lecture
on the theme of "Azerbaijan after the restoration of its independence. Azerbaijan-
Pakistan friendship and strategic partnership" was delivered to the participants by Ali
Alizada, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan. Ambassador Ali
Alizada spoke about the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence in 1991, the
preservation of this independence as a result of the wise policy of national leader
Heydar Aliyev, beginning the path of great development of Azerbaijan with the coming
of the national leader to power and the successful socio-economic development of our
country, as well as about the resolute overcoming difficulties, achievements and
successes. Informing the participants about the recent provocations and attacks of
Armenia at the border with Azerbaijan, the Ambassador said that Azerbaijan has always
faced Armenian aggression, but never bowed down and continued to fight for the right.
He said that our country, which has a strong army and economy, is able to liberate the
occupied lands at any time. Speaking about Azerbaijan's growing image in the
international arena, Ambassador Ali Alizada said that Azerbaijan-Pakistan friendship
and strategic partnership is an obvious example of this, and expressed his confidence
that this close cooperation, achieved through the efforts of the leadership and peoples
of both countries, will be further strengthened. Moreover, he informed the participants
about Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations, including joint projects in social, economic, military,
defense, energy, tourism and other fields, and answered questions of the program’s
participants.
The internship program, which will end in late September, will cover the themes related
to Azerbaijan's history, culture, education and science, foreign policy, economy,
defense and military potential, as well as Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Armenia's
aggressive policy against our country. It will also include the study of prospects for
further strengthening bilateral relations, common ties and attachments with Pakistan.
Certificates will be presented to the young researchers who will successfully complete
the program and they will be involved to the number of future projects.
