The first two events held on the weekend of 24 and 25 November included two concerts the famous Cretan group of traditional music, Rembetika Monopatia (paths of Rembetika). Rembetika Monopatia or else, Vangelis, Nikos, Giorgos and Theofanis came from Heraklion, Crete to share their passion for Greek music, including Rembetika, folk Greek and Cretan music. Baku public who had the chance of attending the event had the chance to dance or sing in the best Greek way, celebrating the Cretan “joie de vivre”. Following the concert, a full menu consisting of fish and seafood dishes from the sunny island of Crete delighted the numerous guests. Two chefs from a fish tavern in the South Coast of Crete were behind this menu. They came to Baku to share their secrets and their passion for good and healthy food. The Cretan diet based on olive oil and fish is well known worldwide as a factor contributing to the longevity of the local population.
